On Sunday, July 12 - Team B Positive left their scrubs behind and headed to Campbell's Field in Camden, NJ to watch the hometown Camden Riversharks battle it out against the Bridgeport Bluefish.
It was a beautiful day at the ballpark and B Positive team members could be found cheering on the home team, enjoying the sunshine and taking in the awesome views of Philadelphia and the Ben Franklin Bridge.
Our team was proud to sport our new Team B Positive T-shirts complete with our awesome new logo and slogan - It Pays to B Positive Today! Our bright red shirts could be seen throughout the stadium and definitely set us apart from the crowd.
There were many highlights throughout the day including watching the game from our own private suite, rubbing elbows with all of the team mascots, enjoying delicious ballpark treats and of course watching the game!
One of the biggest highlights of the day came when B Positive's very own Dennis Rigatos threw out the first pitch! Dennis was voted by all of the center staff to receive this exciting honor. We are so proud of him and impressed with his strength and accuracy, there was definitely some heat behind that pitch! Way to go Dennis!
Dennis wasn't the only B Positive team member to strut their stuff on Campbell's Field that day- our COO, Sophia Rigatos, and CFO, Marty Pollak, made their sumo debut at the 4th inning stretch. After much pomp and circumstance (and some healthy smack talk) - the big moment came down to one giant leap for Marty kind resulting in his victorious win. Honorable mention goes out to Sophia for being blinded by her headgear and suffering a bruised ego during the battle. We love you Sophia!
Overall it was a memorable day filled with lots of smiles, laughs and even some baseball. It pays to B Positive and to be a part of this winning team!
