Donors are the lifeline of our B Positive community - learn if you meet our qualifications to become a blood plasma donor at B Positive.
B Positive Donor Qualifications:
- Must be in general good health and feel well the day you donate
Must be between 18 and 65 years old
Must weigh between 110 and 400 pounds
Must not have donated plasma within the last 2 days, whole blood (such as with the Red Cross) in the last 2 months or double red cells in the last 4 months
Must live within 35 miles* of a B Positive Plasma Center
Must bring all required documentation to donate plasma
Some circumstances may prevent you from currently being eligible to donate plasma, such as: pregnancy, certain international travel, recent tattoos or piercings, and some medical conditions and medications. Please contact us with any eligibility questions.
B Positive Plasma welcomes full-time students studying at a school within our 35 Mile Donor Radius:
- Full-time students who attend a College or University within B Positive's 35 Mile Donor Radius must provide a current, valid Student ID to donate
- If you are a full-time student with a valid student ID and your current address on your application contains the zip code as your College or University you are NOT required to provide proof of address
- If you are full-time student with a valid student ID and your current address on your application does not contain the zip code as your College or University you ARE required to provide proof of address
